What
is the Wisconsin Lutheran
Technology Coordinators' Conference? |
The
Wisconsin Lutheran Technology Coordinators'
Conference is a group of
WELS classroom
teachers and technology coordinators interested in
using and understanding the latest technology.
One of the main
reasons for attending WLTCC meetings is education.
An hour or more of each meeting is dedicated to a
presentation. Past
topics have included MIDI in the Classroom,
Digital Photography, Free and Inexpensive Resources,
Using Excel, Basic Computer Maintenance, and
much more.
Another major reason
for attending meetings is support. WLTCC members
support each other in curricular areas as well as
technology. Some people come to our meetings mainly
to learn, and others come mainly to share. This
sharing of ideas and information takes place
throughout the meetings, but especially during the
scheduled roundtable discussions.
The
three yearly meetings are often held in the
Stewards' Lab at
WISCO, but occasionally they are moved to other
area schools to give attendees an opportunity to see
how technology is used there.
You are invited to
attend the meetings free of charge. Just check the
WLTCC news for the time, topic, and location.

Who
is in the WLTCC? |

.
Many
of the
WELS congregations in the
Wisconsin Lutheran High School
conference own and operate a
Lutheran elementary school. The
Wisconsin Synod has a long
history of providing quality
Christian education at the
elementary level.
Each
and every WELS congregation,
school, and its members are
united in faith and in the
desire to share the
message of salvation found
through Jesus Christ.
Over
thirty
Lutheran elementary
schools are associated with
WLHS, and they serve about
4000 students in grades K-8.
WELS elementary schools can be
found throughout the
metropolitan Milwaukee area.
